THE 54

THE 54 will commence at the Start Line in Gairlochy, 8 miles north of Fort William.

From there, you and your team will walk south along the Great Glen Way, taking in the majestic sight of Ben Nevis before reaching Checkpoint 1 in Glen Nevis.

From Glen Nevis you will continue south, joining the famous West Highland Way. The stunning scenery along this section of the Challenge includes breath-taking views of Loch Leven, which you will see before heading down a trail which will lead you to Checkpoint 2 at the Ice Factor, Kinlochleven.

Leaving Checkpoint 2, it's a steady climb up to the summit of the Devil's Staircase, where you can pause to take in the splendour of Glencoe and Buachaille Etive Mor, before descending down towards Checkpoint 3, at the Glencoe Mountain Centre.

The wilds of Rannoch Moor will greet you as you leave Checkpoint 3 and continue on the West Highland Way to reach Checkpoint 4 at Inveroran.

From there, it's one final burst of enthusiasm and energy to take you over the Bridge of Orchy and through Tyndrum, before arriving at the finishing line at the Strathfillan Wigwams - where your support team, a cheering crowd, hot food and a welcome rest will greet you, marking the end of the 54-mile course and your incredible achievement.

THE 24

THE 24 will commence at the Start Line in Glen Nevis, 1 mile west of Fort William.

From Glen Nevis you will continue south, joining the famous West Highland Way.
