RBS Caledonian Challenge 2009

August 2008 Fundraising Update

Event Info

Awards & Prizes

The RBS Caledonian Challenge Champions Award nights will take place in September 2008 to celebrate the achievements of those walkers and teams taking part in the 2008 event and those teams who have won first place in the team award categories will be invited to attend as special guests of the event organisers.

Teams also reaching exceptional fundraising totals will also be invited to attend. As you will know from registering your team to take part, there are a series of team award categories that teams can enter to compete in on the RBS Caledonian Challenge. We have divided these into three themes and have set the qualification rules accordingly:

Physical Challenge

Teams competing in the fastest team award categories must
start and finish as a complete team i.e. no team member
retirements. In addition, teams will only qualify and be
declared the winner of a fastest team award when they have
met and/or exceeded their minimum fundraising commitment.
The fastest team award categories are Fastest Mixed
Team, Fastest Mens Team, Fastest RBS Team (The Alistair
Priestly Cup), Fastest Elite Team, Fastest Womens Team,
Fastest Veterans Team (all over 40), and Fastest Team in
Business Sector.

Team Challenge

There are also a number of team challenge awards; Best
Dressed Team, Best Support Team, Triumph Over Adversity
Award, and Team Spirit Award. We would invite you to
submit your team entry post-event with a story or list reasons
why your team should win the award category you have
entered. In these award categories, again we are looking for
teams that have met and/or exceeded the fundraising total
committed to when the team registered for the event.

Fundraising Challenge

To qualify for a Fundraising Award, you and your team
must submit your raised sponsorship by the fundraising
deadline; 1st August 2008. The Fundraising Award
categories are Top Fundraising (Non-corporate) Team;
Top International Fundraising Team and Top Fundraising
(Corporate) Team. The results of these awards will be
announced the week commencing 4th August 2008.
