The RBS Caledonian Challenge is one of Scotland’s greatest
and rewarding team fundraising challenge events and will take place on
Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th June 2008.
You
will complete 54 miles in 24 hours non-stop in a team of at least 3 and up
to 6 participants, plus a Support Team of at least 2 people. The trail
covers the most scenic sections of the West Highland Way, starting in Fort
William, continuing up the Devil's Staircase, crossing Rannoch Moor and
finishing on the banks of Loch Lomond.
The RBS
Caledonian Challenge is tough, but achievable by anyone with the right
training, preparation and a positive attitude...after all over 11,000
people have taken part in the Challenge over the last 11 years. And we will
support you every step of the way with training and fundraising guidance;
sponsorship forms; information for your support team; presentations;
regular email newsletters with important updates; promotional materials and
website support.
By signing up to the RBS Caledonian
Challenge, teams of walkers are committing to raise a minimum of £500
per team member to help the Scottish Community Foundation build and
strengthen communities throughout Scotland. On average each team raises
£2,500 but some teams have raised up to £20,000 in previous
years!! Since it was founded in 1997, the RBS Caledonian Challenge has
raised over £7 million, benefiting local communities and charities
across Scotland.
