Our Events

Your epic Caledonian adventure will take you through some of the most remote, rugged and stunningly beautiful countryside. You will experience majestic views of Ben Nevis, the magnificence of Glencoe and Buachaille Etive Mor and the legendary Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.

This year we have 2 exciting events taking place on the same weekend -

1. The Caledonian Challenge (54 miles - 24 hours)

2. The Caledonian Hike (24 miles - 12 hours)

The Caledonian Challenge

Since its inception in 1996 the Caledonian Challenge has become one of the biggest and longest running charity sports events on the calendar. Over 15,000 people have taken part and helped raise a staggering £12 million pounds for charity. And now it's your turn...

Your adventure will take place on the 15th and 16th of June. As part of a team, of between 4 and 6 people, you will walk 54 miles in 24 hours along the West Highland Way. You will be supported every step of the way by our fantastic volunteers, marshals and stewards as well as your own crack team of support crew which you will recruit prior to the event.

Located only 2 hours from Edinburgh, Glasgow or Aberdeen. You'll start in Gairlochy and have regular stops at designated Checkpoints including Fort William and Glen Coe. It's the ‘Walk of Your Life' and you'll never forget the moment when you cross the finish line.

Not only will you have lasting memories but you will have made an enduring impact to local charities. Each participant on the Caledonian Challenge agrees to raise £400 for the Scottish Community Foundation. If you can do better than that, and many of our participants do, then any extra money you raise can be divided equally with a charity of your choice.

"Just want to say thank you for a fab weekend although my feet would describe the weekend differently. What a journey - emotionally, physically and mentally but well worth it for the sense of achievement and money raised.  Can I just also say that the organisation was fantastic along with the support from yourselves. Still on a bit of a high but hey - why not?!?!?!?"     Carole Ann Duffy, The Donside Quines

The Caledonian Hike

Our exciting new event which opened to all-comers for the first time last year.

We are offering you the opportunity to walk a shortened version of the Challenge through, and over, much of the same historic and stunning scenery on the 15th June.

Starting in Fort William and finishing in Glencoe, you will walk 24 miles in 12 hours. You will receive the same exemplary support as those on the Challenge but we recommend that you also recruit a support crew to assist you on the journey.

As you're walking a smaller route you're fundraising commitment is also smaller. You, and your team mates, only have to promise to raise £300 each to take part.

"The event was extremely well organised, we felt supported, welcome and cared for on all the official stops by all the staff and volunteers involved (and of course our amazing support crew). Thank you, and everyone, for a fantastically well organised event." Ruth's Rambler
