Terms & Conditions
By entering the RBS Caledonian Challenge 2012 Outdoors Show February Followup Prize Draw (the "Promotion"), organised by SCF (Events) Ltd., of 22 Calton Road, Edinburgh EH8 8DP (the "Promoter"), each and every entrant will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
1. Submission of a team entry by an eligible person into the RBS Caledonian Challenge 2012 by 14th February 2012 will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions.
2. This competition is open to all residents of the UK, aged 18 years or over, except for employees of SCF (Events) Ltd and its parent charity, the Scottish Community Foundation, and their relatives, who:
- attended the Outdoors show at the ExCeL, London between 12-15 January, AND;
- visited the Caledonian challenge Stand, AND;
- complete a contact form or provided us with their contact details in some other form, AND;
- subsequently entered a team onto the RBS Caledonian Challenge 2012, AND;
- completed that team entry in full by the deadline.
3. For the purposes of this promotion, a complete team means:
- a team leader has created a team on the RBS Caledonian Challenge 2012 event administration system by submitting a completed entry form via our website: www.caledonianchallenge.com, AND;
- nominated a quorate number of team-mates to join his/her team, AND;
- those team-mates have completed their own entry form, AND;
- all entry fees due have been paid in full.
4. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
5. All information detailing how to enter the promotion forms part of these terms and conditions.
6. All entries must be received by the closing time and date. The closing date for entries for the competition is at 23:59 GMT on Tuesday 14th January 2012.
7. There is a maximum of one entry per person which entitles the entrant to one chance to win the prize.
8. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for any entries which are lost or delayed as a result of network, computer hardware or software failure of any kind.
9. The winning entry will be drawn, by random selection, before 17:00 GMT on Wednesday 15th February 2012.
10. The winner will be notified within seven days of the closing date of the competition.
11. One entrant shall win free entry for themselves and a team, of a minimum of 3, and up to, and including 5 additional persons, onto either the RBS Caledonian Challenge or the Caledonian 100.
12. The prize is exactly as stated and there are NO cash alternatives.
13. The winner is required to accept the prize and complete entry for their desired event, either the RBS Caledonian Challenge 2012 or the Caledonian 100 2012 no later than 23:59 GMT on 14th February 2012.
14. The prize is NOT transferable to another person, or to any other event.
15. Should the prize winner not accept their prize a new winner shall be drawn from the remaining entrants.
16. The entrants are committed to raising their minimum fundraising commitment as set out during their entry process by the fundraising deadline date. Failure to raise the minimum fundraising commitment may lead to the team’s entry fee being re-instated at the full pull price.
17. The winners may be required to take part in future publicity for the RBS Caledonian Challenge. The winner's name and image may be used in promotional material
18. By providing contact details, entrants consent to the promoter contacting them, including via electronic media such as telephone and email, to promote its events in 2012 and the future. Entrants may unsubscribe at any time by emailing [email protected] with the word unsubscribe in the message header.
19. Events may occur that render the competition itself or the awarding of the prizes impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the Promoter and accordingly the Promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof.
